Black’s Creek Public Shooting Range (BCR) is Idaho’s most visited public facility, located just southeast of Boise and jointly managed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the EE-DA-HOW Long Rifle & Pistol Club.
With 36 covered benches and target lanes from 5 to 200 yards, BCR caters to hunters, recreational marksmen, and precision shooters looking for a structured firing line.
The Upper Silhouette Range (USR) extends capability to 500 meters, with steel at 200, 300, 385, and 500. The USR is open to the public on Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays for trained club members only. All shooting is from benches; prone positions are not documented and may not be supported.
Ammunition restrictions include a strict ban on armor-piercing, tracer, incendiary, and steel/bi-metal projectiles. The range is ADA-compliant, offering accessible restrooms and shooting lanes.
Daily public access is $10, and **membership options—**including regular, family, junior, and life tiers—are available through EE—DA—HOW. There are also volunteer hour requirements.
