The 8th Annual Pancake Lake Precision Open, presented by Engage Precision, returns on July 26–27, 2025, just outside Killarney, Manitoba, and is now officially part of the PRS Pro Series. Known for its relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere, this field-style match is designed for both seasoned competitors and first-timers looking to step into precision rifle competition without needing top-tier gear.
Shooters can expect 8–10 stages per day, spaced out over rugged terrain with steel targets from 200 to 1,200 yards. You'll ruck between stages, navigate wind calls, and manage gear under time constraints. A Train-Up session is offered on Friday, July 25, from 12:00–6:00 p.m., with props available for live fire (but not official stage layouts).
Key Features:
- Field-style match with stage movement on foot (rucking)
- Max distances up to 1,200 yards, NO magnums, max .30 cal, max 3,200 fps
- Round count: approx. 160–220 rounds
- PRS skills stages included in the course of fire
- Side match Saturday night (20–40 rounds, optional)
- Free meal included + water provided during the match
- Dry camping is available on-site (no water or power)
- Local motels and Airbnbs in Killarney and Boissevain

The range brief starts at 8:00 a.m. daily. All shooters must pay match fees ($250 CAD + optional $30 train-up) in advance, no e-transfers are accepted on match day due to poor reception.
