The Real World Sniper Challenge runs May 22–24, 2026, at the Y.O. Ranch in Mountain Home, Texas. This event is built to reflect real-world sniper operations rather than a traditional precision rifle match. It is open to military, law enforcement, and civilian teams who already possess a solid baseline of sniper skills.
Teams operate as two-man elements and must move themselves and all equipment between stages, remaining on-site for continuous operations once the event begins. Stages blend mental and physical stress with mission-style problem solving, rewarding disciplined teamwork, planning, and adaptability.
Event format highlights:
- Team-based operations with designated primary and secondary shooters
- Land navigation, stalking, hide construction, and target detection tasks
- Precision engagements from known and unknown distances
- Alternate firing positions, movers, low-visibility, and aerial platforms
- Rifle and handgun employment with significant round counts
- Continuous carry of all equipment for the duration of the event
Shooter Insight:
This event punishes poor logistics and weak team coordination just as hard as missed shots, showing up fit and organized matters more than having the latest rifle setup.
