The Sniper Adventure Challenge runs September 3–6, 2026, based out of Douglas, Wyoming, across multiple private ranches in rugged high-desert terrain. This is a true endurance-first event built for experienced teams, not a square-range match.
Two-person teams navigate 30–60+ miles on foot over roughly 48 hours, balancing time, fatigue, and decision-making while completing scored shooting and fieldcraft tasks. Expect long-range rifle, carbine, and pistol engagements mixed with land navigation, problem-solving, and unconventional skill challenges. No support crews are allowed, and all required gear and weapons must be carried for the duration.
What to expect:
- 48-hour continuous race format, point-based scoring
- Extreme physical demand (rated 10/10) in rough high desert
- Long-range rifle targets out to ~1,500 yards
- Carbine targets to ~500 yards; pistol to ~100 yards
- Non-standard tasks: navigation, comms, fieldcraft, problem solving
- Large mandatory gear list; strict safety and equipment enforcement
Shooter Insight:
This event rewards pacing, navigation discipline, and teamwork more than raw shooting speed; poor route or gear decisions will cost more points than missed targets.
