Long Range Shooting Events & Competitions

overview

Buffalo Bills Revenge returns to the Logan Ranch outside Laramie, WY, for its fourth year with Maven Optics as title sponsor. This is a deliberately hard NRL Hunter event designed for shooters who want a real mountain test, not inflated hit rates.

Expect all-natural terrain shooting across granite boulders, gullies, pine stands, and uneven ground, with Wyoming wind always in play. Distances average around 500 yards, targets are well concealed, and stages are blind, forcing solid ranging, wind calls, and creative use of terrain-supported positions. New shooters are strongly advised to gain experience elsewhere first; this match is built to challenge both shooter and equipment.

What to expect:

  • NRL Hunter format with blind stages
  • Natural terrain only; no gimmick props
  • Average distances ~500 yards
  • 18–20 stages over two days
  • High elevation (≈8,000 ft) with variable weather
  • Walking under 1 mile per day

Shooter Insight:

This match rewards disciplined fundamentals and gear reliability over speed, expect missed targets and embrace it as a diagnostic, not a points grab.
