Defiance Anti Social, presented by Defiance Machine, runs May 15–17, 2026, in the Little Belt Mountains, roughly 30 minutes east of Great Falls, Montana. This is a physically demanding NRL Hunter event designed for competitors who are comfortable with field-style shooting, elevation, and variable mountain conditions.
The match is capped at 100 individual shooters and 17 teams, using realistic hunting-type stages rather than square-range props. The course of fire consists of 18 stages spread across rugged terrain at 5,000 feet, with a total round-trip walk of about 2 miles.
Key details:
- Field-style NRL Hunter format, no gimmicks
- Targets out to 1,000 yards
- 18 stages, max 144 rounds (bring extra for zero/chrono)
- High-altitude terrain with wind, cold, and possible snow
- Caliber/velocity limit: .30 cal max, 3275 fps
- No camping allowed at the range; nearby lodging and forest camping available.
Shooter Insight:
This match quietly favors disciplined wind callers and efficient movers; gear weight and cardio matter as much as ballistics.
