A rugged NRL Hunter-style match in Northeast Utah featuring blind stages, sagebrush terrain, and ridge-to-draw shooting, with emphasis on fieldcraft, ethical decision-making, and real-world hunting skills.

.avif)
The High Desert Hunter runs May 1–3, 2026, at Buckskin Hills Shooting Range, set in the high desert outside Vernal, UT. This event is built for NRL Hunter competitors and serious field shooters who want realistic terrain, blind stages, and minimal hand-holding.
Expect an actual hunting-style course of fire spread across ridge tops and three draws, with targets laid out in a rare 270-degree horseshoe configuration. Terrain is mostly sagebrush with limited trees, multiple drainages, and variable footing; good boots matter. The weather can be cold and muddy in May.
