overview

The 2026 NRL Hunter Snake River Outdoorsman Pro-Am runs February 6–8 in Hammett, Idaho, on a rocky desert hillside overlooking the Snake River. Designed to replicate real western hunting pressure, this match emphasizes fieldcraft, terrain reading, and equipment management under physical stress.

This Pro-Am format includes 50 Pro, 50 Am, and 20 Team slots. Target engagements range from 100 to 1,000 yards, all animal-based and realistically sized. Shooters will hike approximately 1.3 miles per day, with roughly 400 feet of elevation change, operating across a wide 180-degree field of fire centered on a base camp.

What to expect:

  • Field-style NRL Hunter stages with natural terrain shooting
  • Animal-shaped targets emphasizing ethical hit zones
  • Rifle weight limit strictly enforced at 16 lbs.
  • Winter high-desert conditions with wind and temperature swings
  • Vendor demos, chrono, and rifle weigh-in on Saturday morning

Shooter Insight:

This match favors hunters who are efficient movers and disciplined with gear, raw bench accuracy alone won’t carry you here.
