summary

The 2026 International Sniper Competition runs 6–11 April 2026 at the Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, and brings together elite sniper teams from the U.S. Military and NATO partner nations.

This invitation-only event is designed to identify the top military sniper team and to share best practices across allied forces. Teams are evaluated across a demanding gauntlet of physical, mental, and technical challenges rather than a traditional match format.

Event focus includes:

  • Team-based sniper assessment, not individual competition
  • Long-range precision marksmanship
  • Observation, reconnaissance, and reporting tasks
  • Movement, concealment, and fieldcraft under stress
  • Multi-day endurance across varied training lanes

Limitations & Access:

  • Military and NATO teams only
  • RSVP required via official Points of Contact
  • Base access procedures apply; no public attendance.

Shooter Insight:

This competition prioritizes operational effectiveness and team integration over scorecard shooting, making physical conditioning and communication as critical as marksmanship.
