The 2025 IALEFI Annual Training Conference (ATC) will take place from September 14 to 19 in Houston, TX, bringing together law enforcement, military, and private-sector firearms instructors for real-world, instructor-focused training. Hosted by the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, this week-long event offers both classroom and range blocks that sharpen readiness across disciplines such as low-light tactics, shoot-house control, and patrol rifle deployment.
Attendees will train with nationally recognized instructors and take part in hands-on range sessions, classroom development, and evening force readiness courses.
Training Highlights:
- Shoot House Instructor Block: Active shooter scenarios, solo/partner entry drills, and command/sniper coordination (live fire included)
- Low-Light Rifle Tactics (Night Range): 7:00–9:00 PM; 150 rifles + 100 pistol rounds required; full gear loadout with an adjustable sling, duty rig, and tactical light
- Low-Light Program Development: Flashlight technique, force application, and department-level low-light program planning
- Snubby Revolver CQB Block: Backup gun manipulation, contact shots, defensive load selection
- Church Security Team Management: Policy, training, and legal structure for armed house-of-worship defense teams
Gear Requirements (varies by block):
- Pistol and patrol rifle with 3+ magazines
- Tactical flashlight (belt-mounted only)
- Threat-level II duty holster and belt rig
- Body armor and hydration gear
- 250+ rounds total for advanced modules
- Standard PPE: eye/ear pro, knee/elbow pads (optional)
