The TRT Sniper Challenge

The TRT Sniper Challenge is a 2-day, 2-man team sniper match held at Thorson Ranch Training. Designed for competitive shooters, military and law enforcement snipers, and hardened civilians, this event combines high-tempo shooting with real-world decision-making. Expect PRS-style known-distance speed shoots blended with blind stages where target detection, ranging, and communication are tested under pressure.

This is not a ruck march, but you’ll be carrying all your gear and solving complex stage problems over two days in cold-weather terrain. No hand-holding; some stages leave execution entirely up to the team.

• 16-stage sniper match format over two days
• A mix of PRS-style speed shooting and blind find/range/engage targets
• Competitors carry all gear and ammo—no resupply
• Physical exertion stages included: fitness recommended
• Rifles stored at stage; pistols holstered, unloaded; strict RO safety protocols
• Open Division only: any rifle caliber, any support gear
• Mandatory gear: precision rifle, pistol, rangefinder, tripod, pack, belt kit
