Tye Sims, founder of** T-Fork Outfitters & Long Range**, brings his students over 30 years of field-proven hunting and shooting experience. With more than 100 big game animals taken across three continents—and multiple successful shots past 1,400 yards—Tye is a master of long-range hunting.
His training programs are designed for real-world application, not just benchrest theory. From initial rifle setup and LabRadar chronographing to data collection out to 1,300 yards, students gain hands-on instruction in mirage reading, wind calls, spin drift, Coriolis effect, reticle ranging, and bullet performance.
The goal is simple: prepare hunters to ethically and confidently make shots at 1,000 yards and beyond.
Courses typically start on Friday evening with rifle setup and zeroing, followed by full-range engagement on Saturday. On Sunday, students dial in their hunting rifles for actual downrange performance, ensuring they leave with data and confidence they can apply in the field.
“We don’t just teach you to shoot far—we teach you to hunt smart at long range.”
Tye also provides rental rifles in popular short-action calibers like 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 to ease learning.
Trusted by serious hunters preparing for extended-range success in real-world conditions.
