Cumberland Riflemen

Founded in 1964 by a group of dedicated NRA shooters, Cumberland Riflemen is a private, members-only shooting facility in Cumberland County, South Jersey, offering structured access across six outdoor ranges. Spanning 108 acres of forested and open terrain, the club has evolved from a gravel pit into one of New Jersey’s most capable long-range venues.

• The 600-yard rifle range is the club’s flagship, with covered positions at 600 yards and staggered berms at 500, 300, and 200 yards. Shooters can utilize stationary frames or engage movable targets from a designated pit.
• A 100-yard range features covered firing lines, shooting benches, and a prone pad, making it ideal for zeroing and mid-distance drills.
• Pistol facilities include a Precision Pistol Competition Range configured for NRA 1800 and 2700 matches with turning targets, a 25-yard Handgun Range, and a restricted-access Practical Range for holster work (with CCP endorsement).
• The Plinking Range permits rifles, pistols, and shotguns, with flexible target placement and impact berms at 25 and 50 yards.

Steel targets are prohibited, and all ranges close during NJ’s shotgun deer season (early December). There are no formal training programs listed, and access is restricted to members.
It is best suited for disciplined rifle and pistol shooters, CMP match participants, and those looking for consistent long-range practice under defined club rules.
