Nevada Firearms Academy & Range in Reno offers public access out to ~2,000 yards, delivering rare ELR capability for shooters progressing beyond 1,000 yards.

Set across a large 600+ acre outdoor complex north of Reno, this range combines multiple shooting decks and bays with a long, open firing line that stretches from close-range zeroing distances out to extreme long-range targets approaching 2,000 yards. The terrain is wide and exposed, creating natural wind corridors that challenge shooters as distances increase, especially past the 1,000-yard mark. The setup supports both bench and prone shooting, with ample space for positional work across different bays. Paper targets are typically used at closer distances, transitioning to steel at extended ranges, allowing shooters to confirm impacts and build real DOPE. With multiple firing positions and steady public flow, the range balances structured shooting with accessible walk-in use, allowing you to move from basic rifle work to true ELR territory in a single session.
Key Features:
This range is built for shooters who want accessible ELR capability, from beginners stepping past 600 yards to experienced long-range shooters refining data beyond 1,000 yards.
