Founded in 1929 and located on over 50 acres off Haverhill Street, the Reading Rifle and Revolver Club is one of Massachusetts’ most established private shooting facilities. The club supports approximately 1,500 members and is one of only two clubs in the state with a 600-yard rifle range, making it a key destination for serious high-power shooters.
The high-power range features firing points at 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards; however, access is restricted to pre-qualified members. Covered outdoor rifle and pistol bays offer year-round usability, while shotgun enthusiasts can utilize dedicated trap, skeet, and 5-stand fields. The indoor range supports .22 rifles and pistols, as well as .45 ACP, with mechanical target carriers and compliant ventilation systems.
Disciplines supported include high-power rifle, bullseye pistol, shotgun sports, and archery. While the club hosts regular matches and activities across these areas, membership is required — the range is not open to the public.
