Pilot Mountain Arms’ 1-Day Intro to Long Range Precision Rifle Course is ideal for new or self-taught shooters looking to establish the fundamentals of precision rifle shooting. This quick course teaches important skills in one day. It provides a clear path to move on to more advanced training.
The course covers rifle setup, optics, zeroing, and the foundational principles of precision marksmanship, including breathing, trigger control, and consistent position. Students are introduced to MOA and MIL systems and begin applying basic wind reading and hold-off techniques in live fire.
Tools including a Kestrel weather meter, ballistic calculator, and spotting scope are integrated throughout, giving students real-world exposure to the equipment used in precision shooting. Engagements run from 100 to 300 yards, providing enough distance to reinforce fundamentals without overwhelming new shooters.
