Two-day intermediate western hunting rifle course from Bergara Academy for shooters with approved entry-level training seeking deeper field application.

This 2-day field-format course is built for shooters who have already completed an approved entry-level class and want more depth in western hunting rifle application. Bergara Academy runs it as the follow-on to Level I, with instruction centered on safe gun handling, practical field shooting, and solving rifle and ballistic problems outside a square-range setup.
Students review safety, refine their understanding of MOA and MILs, and work through firearm cleaning and troubleshooting when a rifle is not shooting correctly. The curriculum also pushes further into wind reading, field shooting techniques, and the effects of velocity variation on shot placement, using realistic hunting-style conditions and terrain rather than a bench-focused format.
Key training areas include:
This course fits hunters and capable rifle shooters who already have a fundamentals base and want more field-focused application. An approved introductory course is required before attending, though some students stay on from Level I into Level II.
