The 2026 Guardian Long Range – Michigan runs September 12–13 at the Marksmanship Training Center in Lake City, Michigan. This event blends competitive precision rifle shooting with a mission-driven focus, donating proceeds to a local charity supporting children in need.
Friday offers optional registration, open range time, a pistol side stage, and an NRL Hunter–style stage (Friday scores do not count). Saturday features 8–10 individual precision rifle stages, while Sunday runs 5–6 team stages, with teams paired by folding Saturday results; top shooters mentor lower-ranked shooters.
Key details:
- Known-distance stages from 100–1,200 yards
- Typical targets 2–3 MOA, 8–12 rounds per stage
- 90–120 second stage times; coaching on the clock allowed
- Rifle limit: < .30 cal, under 3200 fps
- Plan 150 rifle rounds (plus extra for Friday)
- Beginner-friendly, relaxed match environment
Shooter Insight:
The folded team format rewards solid fundamentals over raw speed, making this an excellent first multi-day precision match.
