The 2026 Guardian Long Range – Utah, held August 15–16 at North Springs Shooting Range in Price, Utah, is a mission-driven precision rifle event supporting charities that help children in need.
This match is built for shooters of all experience levels, prioritizing a relaxed atmosphere over rule-heavy intensity. Friday is optional and includes open range time, a pistol side stage, and an NRL Hunter–style stage that does not count toward match results.
Saturday features 8–10 individual precision rifle stages, while Sunday runs 5–6 team stages in a folded-field format that pairs top shooters with lower-ranked competitors to encourage mentorship and learning.
Key Details:
- Individual (Saturday) + team (Sunday) match format
- Known-distance targets from 100–1,200 yards.
- Average 2–3 MOA targets, 90–120 second stages
- Coaching on the clock is allowed and encouraged.
- Rifle limit: Plan for ~150 rifle rounds plus extra for Friday
Shooter Insight:
This is one of the few matches where experienced shooters are expected to help newer competitors actively; Sunday rewards communication and teamwork more than raw speed.
