A one-day NRL Hunter Games match at Cameo Shooting and Education Complex, using high-desert terrain, natural shooting positions, and a short stage format to test practical field skills and efficiency.

.avif)
The WCPS Summer Desert Games takes place Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Cameo Shooting and Education Complex in Colorado’s Grand Valley. Hosted by Western Colorado Precision Shooters with Short Bus Precision, this is a one-day NRL Hunter Games-format event designed for practical reps rather than endurance racing.
The match runs across Cameo’s 850-acre Terrain Park, featuring sandstone cliffs, rolling hills, and high-desert vegetation. Shooters will work from natural supports, rocks, ledges, and uneven ground, mirroring real hunting-style engagements with elevation changes and awkward angles.

Shooter Insight:
With a low stage count and wide round-count spread, this match rewards clean first-round impacts and efficient rifle setup more than volume shooting.

The Cameo Shooting and Education Complex (CSEC) in Palisade, CO, offers precision rifle shooting out to 2,003 yards, featuring electronic target feedback, high-elevation terrain, and structured access, making it ideal for ELR shooters, PRS competitors, and tactical trainers.
