T.J. Pilling is the founder of Tiger Valley and brings over 28 years of law enforcement experience to the training community, including 23 years as a SWAT Precision Marksman.
His career spans assignments in Patrol, Narcotics, and SWAT, with a standout tenure as Range Master and Firearms Instructor for his department, where he managed all academy-level firearms training for seven years.
T.J. has received extensive sniper instruction through programs like USMC Advanced Counter Sniper, FBI Counter Sniper, and the U.S. Army AMU Counter Sniper School at Fort Hood. His resume includes Thunder Ranch, LETC, and John Shaw’s Mid-South Institute coursework, totaling over 2,000 hours of in-house firearms training.
He is also certified as a Glock Advanced Instructor, Simunition Instructor, CHL Instructor, and NRA Long Range Rifle Instructor.
He has taught hundreds of officers from state, federal, and local agencies, specializing in:
