The Bismarck-Mandan Rifle & Pistol Association (BMRPA) operates two facilities in central North Dakota: the Johnson Family Marksmanship Center (JFMC) in Bismarck and the Fried Family Marksmanship Complex (FFMC) near Moffit. JFMC is a modern 50-meter indoor facility with 16 lanes, primarily used for Precision Pistol, Smallbore, and air rifle disciplines. FFMC spans 50 acres and is purpose-built for long-range and competitive rifle shooting, including a 1,000-yard high-power range with 34 firing points.
The outdoor complex also supports:
BMRPA hosts NRA-sanctioned High Power Rifle competitions featuring full-distance and reduced-distance courses of fire. Matches include slow and rapid-fire stages in standing, sitting/kneeling, and prone positions at 200, 300, 600, and 1,000 yards. The club also runs a High Power and Long Range Clinic each spring, ideal for developing shooters aiming to progress in NRA classifications (Marksman to High Master).
While open to the public for events and clinics, regular access is likely to require membership. This facility is best suited for service rifle shooters, match rifle competitors, and those training for NRA or CMP championships.
