The Burbank Rifle & Revolver Club (BRRC), founded in 1926, is a members-only precision rifle facility located in the hills of Castaic, California.
The club operates a purpose-built high-power range with marked distances of 200, 300, 400, 600, and 1,000 yards, supporting match-style and prone long-range engagements. BRRC is affiliated with the CMP, NRA, and CRPA, and serves as a regional hub for service rifle and match rifle competitors.
Facilities include:
- A 100-yard general-purpose line with covered benches
- Dedicated bays (1–4) for drills and small-group sessions
- A high-power line stretching to 1,000 yards, used for sanctioned matches and advanced training
- Additional areas designated as needed by the Range Safety Officer
The range supports NRA High Power, CMP service rifle, and Rimfire Sporter disciplines, with monthly matches, seasonal leagues, and beginner-friendly clinics. Coaches provide one-on-one instruction during events like the Castaic Marksmanship League, a pipeline into competitive shooting.
Strict safety rules are enforced: empty chamber indicators (ECIs) are mandatory, magazines must be separated when not firing, and firearms must remain untouched during ceasefires. Alcohol is prohibited.
Public use is limited to matches and training clinics. The range remains closed to casual public access, with members and guests making up its core user base.
Ideal for precision shooters seeking structured long-range formats, peer-led coaching, and access to a full-distance 1,000-yard course in Southern California.
