Established in 1947, Cascade Shooting Facilities (CSF) is a private, non-profit range complex in Ravensdale, Washington, serving shooters across southeast King County and the Puget Sound region. The club operates multiple outdoor and indoor ranges, including its standout 600-yard D Range, tailored for centerfire high-power rifle use.
D Range supports shooting at distances of 200, 300, and 600 yards; however, access to 600-yard shooting is restricted to certified members and their guests, pending Board approval. Shooters must demonstrate knowledge of external ballistics, submit documentation for the specific round, and prove safe elevation control—ensuring that rounds clear all intermediate structures, such as the 200-yard shed. All shooting at 600 yards must use the designated target carriers and butts.
The outdoor complex also includes:
- C & B Ranges: General rifle and shotgun use (public access on designated days)
- E Range: Five pistol/rimfire bays
- 25-yard indoor rimfire-only range
- Forest-based walk-through archery course with targets from 10–45 yards
Public access is permitted through twice-monthly Public Shoot Days, with RSOs present on the C Range for rifles and E Range Bay 5 for pistols. Public hours are 10 AM–3 PM, with extra open days before hunting season. Members enjoy 7-day access to all facilities, barring scheduled events.
CSF does not currently host formal PRS or NRL competitions. Still, its long-range certification process, ballistic documentation requirements, and target infrastructure make it a strong candidate for serious long-range enthusiasts and NRA High Power-style shooters. Additional offerings include Hunter Education, junior programs, and basic public training events.
Ideal For: Disciplined long-range shooters, F-Class/high-power rifle competitors, and shooters seeking a certification-based 600-yard range.
