Chattanooga Rifle Club

Founded in 1927, the Chattanooga Rifle Club (CRC) is a private, competition-oriented shooting facility located in Ooltewah, TN, just outside Chattanooga. The club offers structured rifle, pistol, and shotgun ranges with a strong focus on organized match shooting and member safety protocols.

The High-Power Rifle Range supports firing at distances of 200, 300, and 500 yards, utilizing lift-type target frames in the pits. The 500-yard line is available only during scheduled matches, while the 200 and 300-yard lines include covered shooting benches. Machine guns are strictly prohibited. A small tactical/practical bay supports PRS-style matches and dynamic carbine events, though it's restricted to match use only. Other facilities include a skeet area, a rimfire-only Instructor's Range, and dedicated bays for Practical Pistol competitions.

CRC enforces a cold range policy, requiring all firearms to remain unloaded until ready to fire. The use of centerfire pistols and drawing from the holster is limited to organized matches or supervised instruction.

Annual membership is $125, plus a $100 initiation fee and a $25 proximity card. Non-members may participate in scheduled matches, but general range use is limited to members only. All new members are required to attend an orientation.

Best suited for precision rifle shooters looking to compete at distances of 200–500 yards, CRC offers bench and match support but does not have known prone platforms or open walk-in access. Operating hours are not publicly posted.
