Located in Elbow Lake, Minnesota, the Grant County Shooters Association offers a well-maintained shooting range built to DNR and NRA standards. The 13-acre facility supports centerfire and rimfire rifles, pistols, shotgun traps, shotgun patterning, black powder, and archery.
The range features:
- A long-range section with steel-gong targets and benches out to 600 yards
- A short-range bay with covered benches and framed targets at 50, 100, 200, and 235 yards
- A five-station pistol range and trap field with a remote thrower
- An informal archery target area and shotgun patterning zone
From May through August, the club hosts the Freedom Benchrest League, alternating between 100–to 200-yard short-range and 300–to 600-yard long-range benchrest matches. Rifles must be .30 caliber or smaller, shot from front and rear rests or bipods. It’s a laid-back, skill-building atmosphere open to all levels.
The 2025 match season includes eight league dates plus a September wrap-up party. Separately, 600-yard precision matches are held across three weekends in summer, with divisions for Light Gun, Heavy Gun, and Tactical.
Memberships start at $60 annually, with family and lifetime options available. New members must complete an orientation. Guest passes are offered with a three-visit limit before membership is required.
