description

Tucson Rifle Club (TRC), home of the Three Points Public Shooting Range, is one of Arizona’s oldest and most established rifle clubs. Located 25 miles west of Tucson in the Sonoran Desert, this facility has served precision shooters since 1969. It offers long-range firing with natural berms and variable wind conditions that challenge even experienced marksmen.

The High Power Rifle Range is the flagship feature, with 15 concrete benches and covered firing points at 200, 300, 600, and 1,000 yards. Adjacent is the Milt Hood Silhouette Range, extending to 500 meters with full-sized steel animals.

Tactical shooters can access multi-use bays with steel, barricades, and props suited for USPSA, 3-Gun, and black powder action events. Prone, benchrest, and positional shooting are permitted across most ranges.

Firearm handling is strictly regulated. All guns must be unloaded off the line, with chamber flags mandatory. .50 BMG and full-auto are allowed only with prior approval. Daily public access is just $6, while members gain year-round range use for $60/year. While no formal sniper programs exist, the monthly 600-yard and 1,000-yard prone matches offer realistic practice environments for serious long-range shooters.

This range best suits high-power competitors, long-range hobbyists, and PRS-style shooters looking to train under desert wind and distance.
