Get hands-on with reticle ranging, UKD drills, and 1,000-yard live-fire in this fast-paced precision rifle course.

Ghost Firearms Training’s Long Range Precision 1.0 is a focused, 2-day course designed for shooters with basic rifle skills who are looking to break into precision engagements beyond 200 yards. Held at their Lewistown, PA range, with on-site lodging included, this course introduces the core fundamentals of long-range shooting through both classroom and live-fire instruction.
You’ll confirm zero at 100 yards (must arrive pre-zeroed), shoot exclusively from the prone position, and progressively engage steel targets out to 1,000 yards. Instruction covers reticle use, data collection, wind/elevation adjustments, and atmospheric influences. A portion of the training also includes unknown distance (UKD) and reticle-based ranging exercises. This is _not_ an introduction to rifle shooting, but a jumpstart into long-range shooting.
Gear requirements are strict: students must bring a tactical or precision rifle (not a hunting setup) with a minimum 10x optic featuring numbered subtensions and external turrets. A scope level, cant-adjustable bipod, rear bags, and 180+ rounds of match-grade ammo are also required. No AR-15 calibers, no .50 cal, and nothing larger than .338.
Course fee includes bunkhouse lodging (2 nights), free RV/camping, and Friday lunch. Limited rental gear is available with prior notice. Expect a smaller class size with multiple instructors and a highly practical, results-driven experience.
Perfect for rifle owners ready to push past the 200-yard mark and into precision territory.
