Sharpen your precision rifle skills in rugged mountain terrain while mastering wind, angles, and advanced positions with guidance from former Army sniper instructors.

The Mountain Rifleman Course is an advanced precision rifle program intended for experienced long-range shooters, competitive marksmen, MIL/LE professionals, and mountain hunters who want to apply long-range fundamentals in steep, mountainous terrain. Hosted at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex in Palisade, Colorado, the course challenges students to solve real ballistic problems created by elevation changes, complex wind patterns, and unconventional shooting positions.
Instruction is led by three former U.S. Army Sniper Course instructors who bring operational and competition experience to the training environment. Students work through practical drills that emphasize environmental awareness, terrain analysis, and the ability to rapidly build stable shooting positions in uneven ground. Engagements focus on extended-range steel targets while applying ballistic data, wind calls, and angle corrections typical of mountain environments.
Key skills covered during the course include:
Students should arrive with a properly zeroed precision rifle, tripod, rear support bag, and approximately 250 rounds of match-grade ammunition. This is not a beginner course; attendees are expected to already understand rifle fundamentals and demonstrate safe weapon handling.
Ideal for long-range shooters, hunter training for steep terrain, and MIL/LE professionals seeking focused mountain engagement skills. Small class sizes ensure personalized coaching and significant time on the rifle.
