Two-day NRL Hunter prep course from Ridgeline Defense for experienced shooters moving into field-style precision rifle competition.

This 2-day, 16-hour course is built for experienced shooters preparing to enter NRL Hunter matches. Ridgeline Defense uses a field-oriented format focused on the skills needed to find, range, and engage hidden targets under time limits from improvised positions.
Instruction covers both shooting execution and match management. Students work on building stable positions with natural terrain, using tripods and range-finding tools efficiently, and understanding stage flow, scoring, rules, and engagement sequence. The course also addresses team division considerations, including spotter and shooter roles, communication, and time management, and it includes mock NRL stages to apply the material in a match-style setting.
Key training areas include:
This course is best suited for competent rifle shooters, competitors, hunters, and MIL or LE personnel who already have solid gun handling and want to transition into NRL Hunter. Students need a precision scoped rifle capable of 1 MOA or better, match ammunition, and the field gear required to work from tripod-supported and improvised positions.
