This 5-day course is designed for experienced police snipers who are ready to assume an instructional role. With over 40 hours of content, it blends classroom work, writing assignments, group projects, and range drills to prepare candidates to train and lead other snipers effectively.
Students will learn how to design-deliver, and evaluate sniper training based on sound instructional principles—not just tactics. Successful graduates receive a two-year Police Sniper Instructor certification.
Prerequisites:
- 3+ years as a police sniper
- Completion of a basic police sniper course
- Letter of approval from your team leader
- State-certified instructor or firearms instructor credentials
A one-day, 8-hour recertification course is required every two years ($195).
