This 2-day Precision Rifle II course builds on foundational skills, shifting the focus to applied shooting in less-than-ideal conditions. Students are expected to arrive with solid fundamentals, allowing the training to concentrate on positional work, problem-solving, and executing accurate shots from improvised setups.

Instruction begins with a concise wind refresher, then transitions to practical application. A major component of the course is learning to build stable shooting positions using tripods, terrain, and available support. Students will also develop the ability to use their reticle for ranging targets and apply ballistic solutions to engage targets effectively without relying solely on external tools.

Live-fire exercises emphasize unknown distance shooting, positional transitions, and maintaining accuracy under physical demand. Shooter-spotter communication continues to play a key role, with corrections and feedback applied in real time. Expect consistent time behind the rifle, working through scenarios that reflect field-style engagements rather than static range work.

Key training areas include:

  • Tripod integration and building stable improvised shooting positions
  • Reticle-based ranging and unknown distance engagement
  • Wind reading refresher and applied corrections.
  • Shooter and spotter communication under dynamic conditions
  • Understanding and applying MOA and MIL systems in the field
  • Efficient position building and recoil management
  • Use of ballistic applications alongside reticle solutions

This course is suited for shooters who already have a solid grasp of precision rifle fundamentals and want to move into more practical applications. A rifle capable of MOA accuracy is required, along with a matching reticle and turret system and a dedicated rifle tripod. Students should be prepared to carry gear across the range, manage 300 rounds of ammunition, and operate safely in and out of shooting positions throughout the day.
