One-day intermediate precision rifle course from SIG SAUER Academy focused on extending confirmed fundamentals to 1,000-yard target engagements.

This one-day intermediate long-distance course is a live-fire format built for shooters who have already completed Precision Scoped Rifle 102 or an equivalent class. SIG SAUER Academy instructors start with a review of basic marksmanship, then coach students through engaging paper and steel targets from 100 yards out to 1,000 yards while working from prone and alternate positions.
Instruction centers on applying confirmed fundamentals at longer distance, using optic data correctly for each prescribed range, and maintaining a consistent shot process as conditions and target distance change. Students also work on reading target feedback, making scope corrections from observed impacts, and recording relevant information in a data book so adjustments are based on actual results rather than guesswork.
Key training areas include:
This course fits shooters who already have a solid baseline with a precision scoped rifle and want structured work at intermediate-to-long range. Prerequisites matter here: Precision Scoped Rifle 102 or equivalent is mandatory, and students need a 100-yard-zeroed precision rifle setup, about 200 rounds of match ammunition, and the ability to stay in prone for extended periods.
