PSR 104: Reach for a Mile

This is a three-day advanced precision rifle course built for shooters who have already completed Precision Scoped Rifle 102 or an equivalent class. SIG SAUER Academy instructors use a live-fire format focused on applying established fundamentals at extreme distance, with target engagements under conditions and angles not commonly available on standard ranges.

Students work through zeroing, grouping evaluation, and the shot process needed to make accurate corrections at long range. Instruction also covers applying data to the optic, tracking information in a data book, reading wind, using angle compensation, and working with a partner for spotting and call corrections, with topics adjusted as needed based on student safety and demonstrated skill.

Key training areas include:

• Effective zeroing procedures and grouping drills with evaluation
• Applying marksmanship fundamentals for accurate and precise hits at long range
• Using optic data correctly for the prescribed range and making scope corrections from target analysis
• Recording relevant shot data in a data book and maintaining a consistent shot process
• Reading wind, making shot calls, using spotting techniques with a partner, and applying angle compensation

This course fits experienced shooters ready to extend established precision rifle skills into extreme long-range work. Students need prior precision rifle training, must be able to spend extended time prone and in alternate positions, and must bring their own rifle, ammunition, and supporting equipment.
