Kevin Owens brings over three decades of sniper experience from both international and U.S. Special Operations communities. He began his career in Ireland’s tier-one Army Ranger Wing (ARW), serving as a sniper from 1987 to 1992. After immigrating to the U.S., he spent 24 years in the U.S. Army, including 18 years as a Green Beret.
Kevin graduated as the top-shooting team from the elite Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC) in 2007. They later served as both instructor and NCOIC of SFSC from 2008 to 2011. During this time, he deployed multiple times as a sniper in a CIF company and led sniper teams in combat.
In 2011, Kevin won the prestigious International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning. In 2021, he was awarded the NDIA Hathcock Award for his lasting impact on the sniper community.
Since retiring, Kevin has provided training for military personnel, police officers, and civilian shooters through Overmatch Consulting.
