Matt Hamilton is a precision rifle competitor and Assistant Instructor with Soldier Mountain Arms in Twin Falls, Idaho. He instructs at the SMA Mountain Marksmanship School, a demanding field-based training program focused on practical long-range hunting and mountain shooting applications in the rugged terrain of Southwest Idaho.
Working alongside the Soldier Mountain Arms instructional team, Matt helps teach shooters how to engage targets from improvised positions using natural terrain, emphasizing ballistic validation, positional stability, rangefinding, and real-world hunting scenarios beyond traditional square-range shooting.
An active competitor in NRL Hunter Open Heavy division events, Matt brings current match-tested experience directly into the classroom and field environment.
