Olyn Sexton is a retired SWAT sniper and certified instructor with over 25 years in law enforcement. He leads Snipercraft Mid-Atlantic, training police snipers through real-world tactics and proven methods.
Olyn Sexton is a veteran law enforcement officer with nearly 26 years of service, including over a decade as a SWAT sniper. Since 2006, he has specialized in sniper operations; routinely deployed as a forward observer, overwatch for entry teams, and on dignitary protection details. Now retired from active duty, Olyn continues to serve as a volunteer trainer with his former department’s tactical unit.
Olyn is a graduate of the NRA Precision Scoped Rifle Instructor School and holds additional certifications from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, Snipercraft, and NTOA’s SWAT Leadership and Sniper Supervisor programs. He has trained extensively under Derrick Bartlett and remains a regular contributor to Sniperweek in Florida.
In 2019, Olyn co-founded Snipercraft Mid-Atlantic as part of the Snipercraft Legacy project, committed to raising the standard of police sniper training throughout the region.
