COSSA, based in Central Oregon’s high desert, offers precision rifle shooting to 1,760 yards, tactical matches, and NRA-sanctioned long-range events — built for serious shooters.

Located in Central Oregon’s wide-open high desert, Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association (COSSA) is a premier long-range facility offering rifle matches out to 1,760 yards. Home to the Great Basin Precision Rifle (GBPR) series, COSSA supports PRS-style shooting with steel targets, military silhouettes, and reactive IPSC setups across natural terrain.
Rifle events include:
COSSA also hosts tactical rifle matches, engaging targets from 150 to 1,000 yards across varied terrain and positions, simulating real-world conditions. Caliber speed is limited to 3,250 fps; steel core, green tip, and surplus ammo are strictly prohibited.
NRA High Power and F-Class events run monthly from April to October, including the Palma Course, 600/1000-yard relays, and electronic target systems. The range supports dry camping, e-target squatting, and no-frills conditions — bring your food and water.
Ideal for competitive precision shooters, fieldcraft enthusiasts, and long-range hunters looking to train under stress, COSSA delivers wind, distance, and discipline — with matches that sharpen real capability.
