Situated on a 320-acre spread northwest of Cheyenne, the Cheyenne Rifle & Pistol Club (CRPC) offers a disciplined environment for precision shooting, tactical training, and organized marksmanship. The outdoor range stretches 600 yards, with multiple berms, covered benches, and steel and paper targets positioned at known distances.
CRPC's facilities include tactical bays with reactive targets, a .22 LR plinking area, and props for scenario-based training like shoot houses. While magnum calibers are restricted on steel, large-bore cartridges are permitted on paper targets under strict safety protocols.
The indoor range within city limits offers 14 lanes out to 50 feet, accommodating most non-magnum handguns. Training programs include NRA-certified pistol courses, youth instruction, and qualification matches.
Membership unlocks full access to the outdoor complex year-round. In contrast, public shooters can access the indoor facility during scheduled hours or attend open events like the club's annual gun show.
CRPC was purpose-built for dedicated long-range riflemen, competitive shooters. It remains a key marksmanship hub in southeast Wyoming.
