Located 8 miles west of Cheyenne, Otto Road Shooting Range is a members-only facility that emphasizes long-range precision shooting.
The range’s standout feature is its dedicated long-range area, which stretches from 300 yards to 1,020 yards and includes steel and paper targets, covered benches, and a permanent shooting house—ideal for both bench-rest and prone setups.
Caliber restrictions are enforced for safety and target preservation. Long-range rifle matches are limited to .308 max caliber and velocity under 3,100 fps. Steel-core ammo is prohibited. While primarily a private range, Otto Road hosts public precision matches, making it one of the few accessible long-range venues in southeastern Wyoming.
The surrounding terrain is open, with natural wind variables and backstops that provide a practical environment for real-world distance shooting. The facility also supports other disciplines, but the infrastructure and layout prioritize distance rifle work.
This range is purpose-built for precision shooters and PRS competitors looking for reliable access to 1,000-yard steel in a controlled, high-discipline setting.
