Colorado Rifle Club

The Colorado Rifle Club (CRC), founded in 1925 and located near Byers, CO, is one of the most extensive private shooting complexes in the western U.S., spanning 2,565 acres of open prairie. Just an hour east of Denver, CRC offers elite-level infrastructure for precision shooters, competitors, and LE/MIL users training for real-world scenarios.

• The High Power Range supports shooting to 1,000 yards, with dedicated prone and benchrest stations, underground target pits, and wind-exposed firing lines ideal for advanced data collection.
• CRC’s Long-Distance Precision Rifle Range (LDPR) features 21 concrete positions and ShotMarker electronic targets, which enable real-time feedback during training and matches.
• The facility hosts over 200 sanctioned events yearly, including NRA Long Range, PRS-style matches, black powder silhouette, and Freedom Benchrest formats.
• Target systems include paper, steel silhouettes, and gong arrays. They are controlled strictly: no steel core, armor-piercing, or tracer rounds, and a maximum MV of 3,200 fps.

Membership is invite-only, with a capped waitlist. Annual dues range from $65 to $90, plus a $150 work bond unless fulfilled via service. The range operates daylight hours only, with odd/even date systems to separate long-range and short-range usage.

With electronic scoring, expansive range depth, and discipline-specific setups, CRC is engineered for seasoned marksmen, PRS competitors, and LE/MIL units demanding structure, challenge, and range diversity.
