Laramie Rifle Range offers precision shooting out to 1,200 yards, steel and paper target pits, and dynamic terrain—ideal for PRS-style practice, rifle marksmanship, and serious civilian training.

Outside town at 73 Rifle Range Road, the Laramie Rifle Range (LRR) is a non-profit, member-operated facility serving Wyoming shooters since 1986. The complex is purpose-built for long-range enthusiasts, offering traditional and dynamic shooting setups across varied terrain.
The rifle range supports steel targets from 65 to 1,200 yards, including 15 T-frames, over 50 reactive gongs, and NRA paper courses at 100 to 1,000 yards. Dedicated high-power lanes, a 200-yard covered range, and field-style firing points allow for prone and positional shooting. Shooters can engage targets from established points or move through terrain during events and training days.
Other features include a general-purpose range (25–100 yards), a 75-yard pistol range for action drills, and target pits for match-style scoring. The facility regularly hosts Project Appleseed clinics and PRS-style competitions, and has recently added NRA CCW training.
Membership is open year-round with no residency restrictions, offering 365-day access from sunrise to sunset. Public shooters are welcome on designated open days or by member sponsorship. LRR is well-suited for serious long-range shooters, competitors, and practical rifle marksmen.
