Founded in 1916, Miami Rifle & Pistol Club (MRPC) is a member-driven shooting facility serving the greater Cincinnati tri-state area. The range is best known for its 600-yard high-power rifle line, a rare offering in the region that supports NRA and CMP-style matches with full-length target pits and certified firing positions.
The high-power rifle range features twelve covered firing points staggered at 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards. Practice from the 500- and 600-yard lines is limited to MRPC members who complete a mandatory long-range certification course. Non-members and guests may only shoot out to 300 yards unless they participate in a match. All public matches, such as the Mid-Range or Navy Match, are open to non-members under the supervision of a Match Director.
Strict range rules are in place:
- Modern calibers must be .35 or smaller on the high-power range
- All loads must stay supersonic at 600 yards
- Paper targets only, unless approved for a sanctioned match
- No drawing from a holster or concealed carry on premises
Other facilities include a multi-purpose range (pistol calibers only), steel target setups for action and cowboy shooting, and limited support for dynamic props. The range opens daily at 8:00 AM (9:00 AM on Sundays) and runs until sunset.
This range is built for disciplined long-range shooters seeking structured access, match participation, and a culture rooted in formal certification and safety.
