Southington Hunt Club in Garrettsville, Ohio is a private training facility supporting pistol, precision rifle, PRS-style practice, and agency or group live-fire training.


Southington Hunt Club at 10321 Silica Sand Rd. in Garrettsville operates as a private multi-function training facility with 15 ranges for training and special events. The range mix covers pistol through 1000-yard rifle, giving precision shooters a place to work from mid-range holds to true long-range engagements. SHC is also used by local and national firearms instructors, law enforcement agencies, federal agencies, military units, and civilian organizations.
For rifle work, the main 700 range uses steel targets from 200 yards at roughly 50-foot intervals out to 700 yards. The facility also advertises precision rifle capability to 1000 yards and numerous props for PRS-style training. Beyond flat-range use, SHC includes six multi-purpose small arms ranges from 25 to 350 yards rated up to .50 caliber machine gun, a 350-yard live-fire vehicle maneuver area, pistol range and side bays, plus rural and urban combat training areas with mounted, dismounted, waterborne, and high-angle training spaces.
