Alliance Rifle Club

Located in Brown Township, Carroll County, just outside Malvern, Alliance Rifle Club (ARC) is a purpose-built high-power facility with a deep heritage in competitive rifle marksmanship. Affiliated with the NRA since 1922 and incorporated in 1937, ARC is home to national and international competitors, including past members of the Palma Team USA and CMP trophy winners.

ARC is structured around the NRA Highpower Rifle Competition, offering two multi-use rifle ranges:

• A 1,000-yard long-range course with pits and target hoist systems
• A 600-yard mid-range course with firing points at 200, 300, 500, and 600 yards

These ranges are optimized for:

• XTC, Palma, Mid-Range, Long Range, and F-Class courses of fire
• Prone, kneeling, and offhand shooting positions on manicured, tree-lined ranges
• League matches from March to November (e.g., Ohio-Penn Rifle League)

Steel targets are prohibited on the 1,000-yard range. Still, paper targets with hoist mechanisms allow for efficient scoring and quick relay changes. ARC does not advertise public training or civilian-focused instruction; it is designed for competition-level shooters with an interest in formal match formats.

Membership includes:

• Family plan: $60 initiation (plus tax) and $150 annual dues (plus tax)
• Individual plan: $150 yearly dues (initiation waived if aging out of family plan)

Best suited for high-power rifle shooters, ARC is a serious range for serious competitors, featuring wind-friendly terrain and professional match infrastructure that rivals Camp Perry.
