Tucked into the foothills of Meyers Canyon, West End Gun Club (WEGC) is one of California’s oldest private ranges. It offers a rugged, member-only experience with selective public match access. The club supports precision rifle, dynamic pistol, rimfire, and multi-gun disciplines across various outdoor layouts.
The facility includes three long-range pads usable up to 325 yards for general member practice. However, match days unlock 500-yard shooting, providing an actual marksmanship test under controlled conditions. This extended distance is available only during organized competitions when a Range Safety Officer is present.
WEGC hosts monthly NRL22 matches (since 2019), IDPA, Three-Gun, Cowboy Action, and night matches. Steel and paper targets are set across multi-station drills. Target options include silhouettes, reactive steel, and props tailored to each discipline.
Range access is restricted to members, guests, and registered participants. Mandatory waivers and attention to creek crossing conditions (flow-sensitive terrain) are also required.
Built for members who value structured long-range use, match culture, and a private, multi-discipline training ground with intermittent access to 500 yards.
