3 Day Long Range Class: 101 & 201

The 3-Day Long Range 101 & 201 class at Colemans Creek is a deep-dive precision rifle experience designed for shooters of all levels. Combining both the Basic and Advanced courses into a streamlined progression, this small-group training is capped at just 8 participants to ensure highly personalized instruction.

Led by veteran marksman Daniel Posey, the course delivers expert coaching across rifle setup, data collection, and applied long-range shooting, all within a world-class 1,000-acre facility in Ellerbe, NC.

Course Breakdown:

‍

Day 1: Foundations

• Rifle setup, scope adjustment, and zeroing
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Intro to ballistics and wind reading
• Target engagements from 100 to 1,000 yards

Day 2: Advanced Techniques

• Ballistics refresher and long-range data trueing
• Advanced wind reading
• Shooting from alternate positions
• Target engagements out to 1 mile
• Optional evening social (4–6 PM)

Day 3: Practical Application & Coaching

• Scenario-based field drills and live-fire problem-solving
• Personalized coaching and technique refinement
• Optional follow-on training available post-course

You’ll train across varied terrain using steel targets, PRS-style props, and long-distance lanes up to 1 mile.

Required gear includes:

• Rifle (.223–.338) with 1 MOA or better accuracy
• MIL or MOA scope with external turrets
• Bipod, rear bag, 340 rounds of match-grade ammo
• Hearing/eye protection, ballistic solver (app or Kestrel), and notebook
• Weather gear, bug spray, lunch/snacks
