Matthew Kalisch, a retired Green Beret and seasoned shooting competitor, brings elite-level instruction to Colemans Creek, specializing in CQB, precision rifle, and tactical training for civilians, LEO, and MIL shooters.


Matthew Kalisch is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with over a decade of service as a Green Beret. During his 12-year military career, including four deployments to Afghanistan and Africa, he held key roles as a static line and freefall jumpmaster, human intelligence operator, and master trainer. His credentials include multiple elite-level courses such as the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Course (3x graduate), Advanced Reconnaissance & Target Analysis, and the Master Trainer Course.
Matthew served as the senior firearms and tactics trainer for both his Special Forces team and partnered foreign forces, including Afghan, Nigerian, and Chadian Special Forces. He concluded his military career in 2023 at the rank of Sergeant First Class, bringing operational expertise and leadership into every training environment.
Outside of the military, Matthew has earned a name in competitive shooting. He’s a two-time Tactical Games competitor with a podium finish in the Elite division. He has numerous wins across USPSA, 3-Gun, 2-Gun, and precision rifle competitions. He currently teaches CQB and flat range classes for Vortex Optics and is a certified USCCA instructor.
