Josh is a former RAF Regiment Sniper and active SWAT Sniper with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He brings real-world operational experience and law enforcement precision rifle instruction to Shadow Country’s sniper training programs.
Originally from Cornwall, UK, Josh is a former RAF Regiment Sniper with extensive operational experience gained through deployments to Afghanistan in 2007 and 2010, and Iraq from 2008–2009. Specializing in Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR), he developed advanced skills in precision targeting, reconnaissance, and situational awareness under demanding real-world conditions.
Today, Josh serves as an active SWAT Sniper and certified Arizona Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. After attending Shadow Country’s Basic SWAT Sniper School to become certified for his department, he continued his involvement with the program and now serves as a key instructor for Shadow Country.
Committed to continual growth, Josh regularly attends advanced sniper training programs, including Max Ordinate’s Advanced Law Enforcement Course and Mesa SWAT’s Urban Sniper School. Known for his disciplined approach and operational mindset, he combines military and law enforcement experience to deliver practical, mission-focused instruction.
