Develop rural sniper fieldcraft, stalking, concealment, and target engagement skills for real-world operations beyond urban environments.

Shadow Country Sniper School’s 40 Hour Rural Sniper Course is built for active law enforcement and military snipers who need to operate effectively outside urban environments. This course focuses heavily on fieldcraft, concealment, and movement, preparing snipers for rural and mixed-terrain deployments where observation, patience, and positioning are critical. Even for teams primarily working in urban settings, the principles taught here directly enhance survivability and effectiveness in complex environments.
Training is hands-on and scenario-driven, with a strong emphasis on stalking, camouflage, and building effective hides in natural terrain. Students will learn how to move undetected, establish positions, and engage targets through vegetation and natural obstacles while maintaining observation and communication with a spotter. Tripod use, wind calling, and ballistic application are reinforced throughout, ensuring shooters can execute precise engagements under realistic conditions.
Key points include:
Live-fire training reinforces these skills in realistic terrain, pushing students to apply both marksmanship and fieldcraft under pressure. Entry is limited to active LE or MIL snipers with prior basic training and command endorsement. Built for operators who need to remain unseen, move effectively, and deliver precise fire in rural and complex environments.
